We are just a few a days away from the start of Curling at Deeside for the 2015-16 season! We start FPOW competitions on Monday 14th September, and TryCurling will also be available for anyone who wants to give the sport a go for the first time.
Playing structure
Initially, we will run 2 separate Monday leagues for play at 6pm and 8pm. In each session, there is an uneven number of teams, and so every week at least one team will not compete (a "bye"). Please login to the clubroom to check the team lists and ensure you know which team you are in. The schedule of play will be available soon - make sure you know when your team will be playing. As usual, we will have no matches during school holidays.Membership and Ice Fees
Adult membership fees have been frozen at the same level as last season. Full adult membership is £50 for the whole 2015-16 season, while Junior members (under 21) pay half of this. Other membership options are available. Ice fees have been increased slightly, for both pay-as-you-go and season ticket holders. A season ticket for matches and practice ice in the Autumn session will be £112.75 per adult, £70 junior/wheelchair rate) to cover this first half of the season.Substitution Policy
A revised policy on the use of substitute players is being introduced for the new season. If a team does not have enough regular members available to fill a four-player roster, substitutes will still be allowed - but they will only be permitted to play in the Lead or Second positions. There is one exception where discretion is permitted - if the skip is unavailable a sub may take their place, but both teams must agree.Useful documents
