Safeguarding

Safeguarding

The sport of curling can have a constructive influence on children and assist in developing valuable qualities such as leadership, team participation, confidence and self-esteem. The Welsh Curling Association recognises our responsibility to provide opportunities for children in an open, enjoyable and safe environment, to promote safe practice and protect all members from poor practice, exploitation and abuse, and ultimately provide a positive experience.

Our safeguarding program is an important component of the support the Welsh Curling Association provides to our members and volunteers. We understand the importance of our policies and procedures and the role they play in protecting the most vulnerable in our organisation.
